5th Annual Liberty Cup Classic - I.B.E.W. Hockey Tournament

On Saturday, January 19, 2008, Mike Monahan, Business Manager and Local 103 IBEW Boston hosted the 5th Annual Liberty Cup Classic - I.B.E.W. Hockey Tournament. Local 3 staged a comeback from a 4-0 deficit in the first period, but ultimately fell short of victory. Final Score was Local 103 Boston 6 to Local 3 New York 5. Rumor has it that when the NY Giants got word of Local 3's defeat that it inspired them seek some payback to bring home their Super Bowl victory over the New England Patriots.
It was a fun day had by all celebrating some of the best aspects of the I.B.E.W. - Brotherhood, Teamwork, Determination and ultimately, a real good time.
